A ‘classic’ exhibition and an immersive experience located on the sixth floor of The Steigenberger Wiltcher’s Hotel.
In each of the eight rooms we ask Engarde artists to engage in a carefully developed project. These curatorial projects might consist of confrontations, non verbal conversations or performative pieces. We could even ask our artists to create work on the spot inspired by the event.
In addition to these intimate conversations or confrontations we would like to stage an overall performance, inspired by Elmgreen & Dragset’s ‘The One & The Many’ immersive performance at the Onderzeebootloods in Rotterdam in June 2011. Actors / performers would take up the role of a cleaning personnel or butler. The goal of the performance is to enhance the visitors experience.
